The 1972 Porsche 911S ‘Ölklappe’ is one of the rarest and most distinctive 911 variants, produced for just a single year. Nicknamed Ölklappe (German for “oil flap”), it featured a unique outside oil filler flap on the right rear fender, specified by the engineers at Porsche in their ongoing work to improve the 911. Racing experience had shown that the re-location of the oil tank to the front of the rear wheel, helped to improve handling. Unfortunately, many owners mistook it for the fuel filler and poured petrol into the oil tank, leading Porsche to abandon the idea after 1972.

As the top-of-the-line 911, the 1972 911S was powered by a 2.4-liter flat-six with Bosch mechanical fuel injection, producing 190 horsepower at 6,500 rpm. Coupled with the 915 5-speed manual gearbox, the car could accelerate from 0–100 km/h in just 6.6 seconds and reach a top speed of around 230 km/h, remarkable figures for the early 1970s.

Chassis refinements included wider Fuchs alloy wheels, ventilated disc brakes, and revised suspension geometry, giving the 911S exceptional handling balance and making it a favourite among serious sporting drivers. Visually, it retained the classic narrow-bodied 911 silhouette, but the external oil filler makes it instantly recognizable to enthusiasts, making the 1972 911S Ölklappe among the most collectible early Porsche 911.

This particular Porsche 911S was restored 5 years ago with its previous owner, a very prominent German collector. The Porsche was restored ‘nut and bolt’ in his workshop to original specification including the original Signal Gelb colour that it was delivered with when new. Naturally it is a matching numbers Porsche 911S. German first delivery.

The restoration was done to a very high standard at the collector’s own workshop and with a no expense spared ethos. In every respect this is a new car or better than new: the engine compartment, the underbody, the suspension, the interior. Everywhere you look, the 911S has been rebuild and is clean and solid. The 911S specific Recaro sports seat with Pepita inserts and the original four spoke leather covered steering wheel, top of the interior and for those in the know, immediately reveals the model designation.

If anyone is still in doubt, you only need to fly past another car on the highway who will be left wondering how fast and agile a classic car can be? The answer my friend, is there to read on the engine lid: Porsche 911S.

Today the Porsche 911S has seen very limited use with its current owner and with just 11.000km completed since restoration, it will be difficult to find a better and more reliable 1972 Porsche 911S.

Registered with German (EU) registration documents.

Good Electric Toothbrush for kids
Color: Red+blue
Battery life is superb. The bristles on the brush aren't very durable but it could be that my little one tends to chew the bristles while brushing. The different modes on the brush work very well.

Great waterflosser
Color: Pink
Very good water flosser. I travel alot and this is a great size, I can keep it in my purse. Good pressure, convenient filling and a great value. I had one, it was a little smaller, but it stopped working after 6 month. It was $65 and the company never returned my request for a refund or exchange.... So I can just recommend this one.

Compact and performs well
Color: Pink
After reading the reviews I purchased this item. I have been very satisfied with the performance of this item. *The charge lasts a couple of days, after two of us using it at least twice a day. *I like the option of the settings and the placement of them on the handheld. *it is compact yet very sturdy * I like the tools (water pics) included *no leaking, great water pressure, so far it has been very durable *bought it mainly for travel, but using it daily at home for ease of use, size, and performance
